About The Foundation
Shining Molly’s Light
Throughout LA and Beyond
The Molly Steinsapir Foundation is a California 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 2021. We provide tangible assistance toLos Angeles County residents most in need. We’re a youth-focused organization, empowering local teens who share Molly’s values to positively impact their community.
Purpose
We honor the life and legacy of Molly Olivia Steinsapir, who passed away at age 12, on February 15, 2021. The Foundation’s mission is to keep Molly’s caring spirit alive by embracing our neighbors throughout Los Angeles, particularly children, for whom life is difficult. We work to meet basic needs that would otherwise go unmet, bridge gaps, and cheerfully provide assistance in a manner that honors every individual’s dignity. Guided by Molly’s innate sense of justice, we strive to help those who haven’t been treated kindly or fairly. The Foundation also honors Molly’s love of animals and the planet.

Tributes to Molly
Molly Steinsapir Early Childhood Center at Kehillat Israel
Molly attended pre-k at our synagogue, Kehillat Israel, where she later continued her Jewish studies in preparation for her bat mitzvah. Today, the school bears her name — the Molly Steinsapir Early Childhood Center — honoring her memory in a sacred place deeply meaningful to her family.
ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran Rehabilitational Village
Molly is represented in Israel. There’s no more perfect way to recognize Molly than at a petting zoo that’s inside a village for disabled children, where they receive therapy by interacting with animals. Thank you to everyone who made this possible.
Rock Garden at Geffen Academy at UCLA
Molly’s classmates and educators at Geffen Academy created this rock garden featuring lyrics from a song Molly composed with her friend and newest Youth Board member, Makena Damudar. Makena is now a Junior at Geffen. The rock garden serves as a permanent and meaningful tribute to Molly on the campus she was proud to call home. TEAMMOLLY supporters from around the world continue sending painted rocks to add to the vibrant collection. We invite you to create a Molly rock of your own and send it to 2049 Century Park East Suite 4320 Los Angeles, CA 90067.
