Big things are happening!
ALL kids should have the opportunity to attend summer camp. Yet, many families cannot afford it. Summer is hard for parents who lack childcare and kids who eat many of their meals at school.
Camp Harmony - https://unitedinharmony.org/camp-harmony/- hosts 300+ campers from underserved areas in and around LA for a week-long sleep away camp in Ojai. Most arrive with few belongings. All donations received by the Molly Steinsapir Foundation through 6/15 will be used to stock the “camp store” so that campers can be gifted the items they need. If you've ever reflected on how lucky you or your kids are to have had the opportunity to attend camp, please consider paying it forward. You can send items via our Target or Amazon wishlists.

Local friends, please come to our lemonade stands! June 10 at 1:50 pm in front of Marquez Elementary and all afternoon on June 15 at the Steinsapir residence in Pacific Palisades (on Jacon Way up the hill from school). If possible, please bring a new bathing suit for a Camp Harmony camper. In addition, all proceeds will be used to purchase remaining items from the wishlists. Molly loved camp and should be joining her friend and camp companion, Elise, as a counselor at Camp Harmony. We are ensuring the Molly's kind and generous spirit will be felt there. Please join us. No amount is too small to make a difference for these kids.
Our first #TEAMMOLLY buddy bench has been installed on the lower yard of Marquez Elementary. Students know to sit on the bench when they need a friend and to look out for those sitting there and invite them to play. Molly was a kid who could have used a buddy bench at times. And she most definitely would have extended her hand to anyone in need of a friend. Molly played with everyone, including kids with learning differences and serious disabilities. Such things never mattered to her. It was like she didn't even notice them.
We absolutely love seeing kids use the bench, which is near the organic garden and play structure. Some friends have been so inspired, they are installing similar benches at their kids' schools. Please reach out to me if you're interested in learning more. Every school should have a buddy bench!
Our first #TEAMMOLLY volunteer, Jennifer, just completed her volunteer mission with the Jewish National Fund in Israel. Since 1901, JNF has planted over 250 million trees, built over 250 reservoirs and dams, developed over 250,000 acres of land, created over 2,000 parks, provided the infrastructure for over 1,000 communities, and much more.
Since October 7, JNF has organized volunteer missions to help with agricultural work and ensure Israel's food supply, clean up and beautify the kibbutzim that were brutally attacked, and to bear witness. Molly's aunt, Polly Levine, volunteered for one of the missions earlier this year and inspired us to enable more women to participate. The Molly Steinsapir Foundation, which has partnered with JNF on other projects, covers the JNF programming fee while the women pay for their airfare and other expenses. Our next participant leaves in two weeks. Molly is truly making a difference in the world.
Molly considered Israel her second home, although she never got to visit. Helping people in their hour of need is the greatest way to honor her legacy. Thank you, Jennifer, for shining Molly's light in Israel! Tremendous gratitude to all our supporters who make everything we do possible. 100 percent of your donations are used for our charitable projects.
Last but not least, Nate created this incredible video showcasing some of ways #TEAMMOLLY has honored our girl during the past three years. This is entirely his own work, which took hours. Nate finished 7th grade this week. He is 13 years old, which is not an easy age under the best of circumstances. His grief is profound and impacts him in ways the rest of us will never fully understand. Yet, Nate thrived at Geffen Academy this past year and is a wonderful son, brother and friend. We could not be prouder of him. Please watch and share his tribute to his big sister.
As always, thank you for being part of Molly's legacy. We love you all.
